My first mermaid sim has been an elder for well over 150 days and I don't think she'll ever die. She became an elder the day after her daughter became a teen. I got the notice that she was going to die soon but it didn't happen. The daughter went to college and got married, now they're all living together waiting. I started trying to kill her by starving her, but once the timer hit zero she didn't die. Then I tried using a sauna. She got the Superfluous Steaming moodlet, but now every time I try to get her to go back in the sauna she turns it off. I have never played the tutorial, but I've understood that Alex is your room mate in the tutorial. The tutorial has it's own aspirations (Npcs sometimes have them) and some of those aspirations have steps like talk to the room mate, and can be completed if you talk to Alex. 12. _TattieScone.
